Morton is a companion and merchant who may arrive as a random door encounter when the player is at home. He starts at level 6, and his class is listed as Scavenger. He will only accept Junk as a form of currency, giving you random supplies and cash in return. For every few Junk given to him, you may receive an amount of cash, a weapon, piece of equipment, a pack of snacks, food, chemicals, or medical supplies. After giving him a certain amount, Morton will inquire about where you are able to find so much junk. At that point you will be able to invite him inside your apartment. Morton may arrive at the door in a hostile state, attacking if the door is opened. His aggressive form is indicated by his bright eyes being muted red, and his scarf will be removed, leaving his mouth visible. As a companion, Morton is adept at Crosswords and will accelerate the rate at which they are solved.
