Dr. Melissa "Mel" King is a second-year resident in the emergency department at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital, working under Dr. Frank Langdon and Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch. She’s neurodivergent, bringing a unique perspective to high-pressure ER cases, like treating a kid who ate a weed gummy or aiding PittFest shooting victims, while showing skill despite her social awkwardness. Mel’s dedicated, balancing patient care with looking after her autistic twin sister, Becca, and draws on her experience with military veterans to connect with patients.
