Born in Bangkok to a Dutch father and Chinese/Thai mother, Max was raised in Munich, Germany where he attended a European school graduating Cum Laude at age 17. From age four until 17, Max played professional tennis and considered going to a tennis University or to medical school before deciding to focus full time on his acting career. Max's first foray into the film industry was at age 11 doing commercials and modeling, and also landing his first film role in Yoko, a Nickelodeon feature. He studied acting during high school and auditioned for a number of significant roles before landing a four episode guest spot in De spa and a breakout series regular role in Goede tijden, slechte tijden, both in 2017.
