Marshal Law is a superhero comic created by Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill in 1987 and is best known for various scenes involving graphic violence and nudity, as well as parodying the superhero genre. The series' protagonist is Joe Gilmore/Marshal Law, a policeman who hunts corrupt superheroes. Marshal Law #1-6 (1987-1988), Crime and Punishment: Marshal Law Takes Manhattan (1989), and Pinhead vs. Marshal Law: In Hell (1993) were published at the Marvel imprint Epic Comics. Marshal Law - Kingdom of the Blind (1990), Marshal Law - The Hateful Dead (1991) were published at Apocalypse Comics. Marshal Law - Super Babylon (1992), San Diego Comic Con Comics #1 (1992), Marshal Law - Secret Tribunal (1994), and The Mask/Marshal Law (1998) (although only appears on the cover and one page) were published at Dark Horse. Savage Dragon/Marshal Law (1997) was published at Image Comics. 2000AD #1280 (2002) was published at Rebellion Developments, although he only has a 1-page cameo.
