Marius Ivancea was born on February 8, 1989 in Bucharest. Since childhood, music has been his greatest passion. At the age of 8, he wrote his first lyrics and, at the age of 13, he stepped into a music studio for the first time, and a year later he became a lyricist at Atomic TV. At 17, What’s UP released its first video. Shortly afterwards, Atomic TV shut down, at which point What’s UP took a break to continue its studiesIn early 2011 the artist founded Moondust Production. Soon, projects began to appear, including music packages for television shows (Kanal D, Antena 1, Euforia TV). At the age of 22, What’s UP released his first hit song, "You Have No Husband", in collaboration with Maximilian, after which the artist announced his first album, "The Story of the Heart". After this feature, What’s UP appeared with Sișu in the projects “Mintea mea” and “Si vrei”, and later collaborated with DOC for the song “Ceai”, which was a real success. Soon, What’s UP introduced a new concept in Romania: Music-Video Serial, entitled “Life with Whatzy”, which started with the episodes “From today to tomorrow” and “Europe come and go”.
