Marcel is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Nigel) of Blue Sky's sixth animated feature film Rio. He was Nigel's owner, Armando and Tipa's boss and the leader of the smugglers, as well as the former boss and arch-nemesis of Fernando, and one of the archenemies of Linda Gunderson and Tulio (prior to the Big Boss). His primary goal is to smuggle birds, including Blu and Jewel, to other countries and sell them to become rich. He serves as the direct cause of the first movie's plot and therefore the one responsible for the Blue Macaws to almost be smuggled, even if their survival chance was in great danger. He was voiced by Carlos Ponce.
