He was born from his father's second wife, Kai Millard Morris. His parents were married from 2001 to 2015. He had his first film appearance in the 2018 film A Star is Born. He has one older brother, Kailand, and seven half-siblings, Aisha, Kwame, Sophia, Keita, Mumtaz, and Nia. Before his parents were married, his father was first married to singer Syreeta from 1970 to 1972.
