Lucius Washington was the crew cheif for Dennit Racing for Terry Cheveaux for The 1998 Brickyard 400 and some of the 1998 Winston 500. He was the crew cheif for Ricky Bobby from the 1998 Winston 500 to the end of the 2009 season.
Washington later became the competition director for Dennit Racing until his unfortunate passing from respiratory failure while recovering from a heart attack in 2012.
