The Lorax is the titular overarching protagonist of the Dr. Seuss book, the 1972 TV special, and the 2012 Illumination film adaptation of the same name. He is the caretaker of the Truffula Forest and intends to protect it from the once greedy Once-Ler. In the 1972 TV special, he was voiced by the late Bob Holt. In the 2012 film adaptation, he was voiced by Danny DeVito, who also played Philoctetes in Hercules, Max Medici in the 2019 live-action remake of Dumbo, Eddie Gilpin in Jumanji: The Next Level, Bruce Davis in Haunted Mansion, and Uncle Dan in Migration.
