Lionel Benjamin (born November 10, 1945, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti) is a biologist, actor, and singer since 1970. He is known as the "Haitian Santa Claus" thanks to the success of "Abdenwèl" and "Nwèl tap tap'." The Ministry of Culture and Communication awarded him a plaque of "Honor and Merit" for his work in support of Haitian culture on December 21, 2007.
