Lauren’s family background is from England and New Zealand, but Lauren was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She knew she wanted to be in the entertainment industry since she was a little girl. After all, her mother named her after the famous actress, Lauren Bacall, since all of Lauren’s family had a love for film. When Lauren was just six years old she sang “happy birthday” in a Marilyn Monroe voice at a family’s birthday party. Her mom then decided to put her into modeling and acting school. Years later after she graduated from high school, Lauren became a licensed makeup artist and worked as a model all throughout her twenties including flying out to Los Angeles to model for Urban Republic Clothing during LA Fashion Week. She grew up in Virginia Beach and living in various cities on the East Coast and traveled to Europe modeling and doing makeup. Including doing makeup for, Oscar winner Producer, Costume Designer, and Production Designer Catherine Martin and Oscar-Winning Director, Writer, and Producer Baz Luhrmann. Lauren knew one day she was going to move out to Los Angeles, but felt the timing wasn’t right. When she moved to Miami, she met film director Jeff Benjamin, then became one of the lead actresses and makeup artist for the WPLG ABC TV show “Miami Nights.” A few years later, Lauren, Jeff, and their two children decided it was time to move to Los Angeles. Then came their third child and now they live and work in Los Angeles for their company Saltwater Films & Networks, LLC. Lauren also decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Business at The Los Angeles Film School earning a spot on the National Honor Society of the Entertainment Arts program and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. Also, a Charter founding member with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
