Kali Funston is completely bilingual English and French and attended the French Lycée in Los Angeles.
Kali began dancing at the age of 5 and was accepted into the world-renowned Mather Dance Company, where she continues to train today. Mather is led by acclaimed choreographer Shannon Mather and is home to MDC3 (Emma Mather, Madison Smith, and Diego Pasillas), winners of NBC's World of Dance.
Kali has trained extensively with top industry choreographers including Gianna Martello (Dance Moms / ALDC), Mollee Gray (CREW Studios), and Kelly Sweeney. In addition to her dance training, she is also a skilled gymnast, incorporating impressive tricks and acrobatic elements into her performances.
Kali and Hélène Cardona (Chocolat) star in the feature film Caralique, portraying a powerful mother-daughter relationship. Kali plays Young Caralique, with Hélène as her mother. Both have received numerous awards for their performances, including Best Child Actor and Best Actress at international film festivals.
Kali played the lead Anna in the musical Frozen at the Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts (YADA).
Kali is also known for her modeling with photographers Sagaj and Robert Beczarski and has a social media presence @copilotkali on IG. She is often featured on the You Tube series "Inside MDC."
When not dancing and acting, Kali loves to travel, hang out with her friends, and enjoys going to the beach.
