Judge Doom is the main antagonist of the 1988 live-action and animated hybrid film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He is the cold-hearted, manipulative, ruthless, and violent high-ranking judge of Toontown, employer of the Toon Patrol, and owner and CEO of Cloverleaf Industries who seeks to bring Roger Rabbit to justice after being accused for the murder of Marvin Acme, no matter what, and even without properly investigating the whole case. Doom is later revealed to be the one who murdered Acme and framed Roger for the crime because he plans to destroy all of Toontown and its residents with a paint-thinning concoction he made consisting of a mixture of turpentine, acetone, and benzine, which he calls "the Dip," or is otherwise known as "toon acid" that is capable of "killing" toons, build a freeway over Los Angeles where Toontown's location is, which fails after he is further revealed to actually be a psychopathic toon, who was responsible for the death of Eddie Valiant's brother, Teddy and became a victim of being "dipped." According to a noncanon graphic novel sequel, Doom's toon identity is revealed to be Baron Von Rotten, a toon who dates back to the 1920s that was known for being cast as villains in many cartoons until he suffered a concussion that left him in a coma which he later awoke from and began to believe he was a real villain, leading up to his criminal career in Toontown before the eventual murder of Teddy Valiant and his sudden disappearance and reappearance years later as Judge Doom in disguise.
