Joy Lauren (born Lauren Joy Jorgensen) was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She starting acting in the Southeast, before moving to Los Angeles in 2001. After performing in film and television, including four seasons on ABC's "Desperate Housewives," Joy received her bachelors from Columbia University, where she majored in American History. Joy now resides in Brooklyn, New York where she produces and directs independent films. Joy is an MFA Candidate at the graduate film program of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
