Jota Castellano is born in Madrid. Soon after, he moves to Málaga, where he attends school. After completing his high school years in Estepona, he studies Digital Design and graduates in English Philology from the University of Málaga, in 2012. A local agent shows interest in him as a model for fashion and puts him forward for catwalks and commercials. A year later, he moves to Madrid to graduate from a Master's Degree in Digital Marketing and a Master's Degree in Web Development. During this time, he excels as a fashion model and begins getting roles in TV Commercials. This experience, helps him discover his passion for acting and in 2015, he begins attending acting courses. As he masters his abilities as an actor, he gets the attention of casting directors that encourage him to participate in short films and festivals. Feeling the need to have strong foundations for his acting career, he stops working full time as a model and in 2016, he enrols in William Layton's Drama School. While studying the fundamentals of theatre, he continues developing his skills in the film industry, with other courses in cinema schools, in Madrid.
