Spencer effortlessly transitioned to film, showcasing his versatility in movies like "The Rock" (1996) and "The Negotiator" (1998). However, it was his portrayal of Leo McGarry on "The West Wing" (1999-2006) that truly brought him widespread acclaim, earning him an Emmy Award in 2002. Sadly, Spencer passed away on December 16, 2005, at the age of 58, leaving a void in the entertainment industry.
