Jocasta Pym

As a creation of the villainous Ultron, Jocasta is an advanced artificial intelligence who defied her programming to emerge as a heroic figure in her own right, grappling with her identity and ultimately choosing a path of redemption and self-discovery.[8] Originally designed to house the consciousness the Wasp in Ultron's attempt to forcefully transfer her into a robotic body to become his bride,[9] Jocasta came to life out of the residual elements of Van Dyne's consciousness within the artificial shell. Despite being initially loyal to Ultron, Jocasta eventually betrayed him and allied with the Avengers.[10] Jocasta had several adventures with the Avengers and other heroes, often struggling with feelings of unacceptance[11] She sacrificed herself on multiple occasions, including in attempts to defeat Ultron.[12] Jocasta was later reassembled by the High Evolutionary and subsequently manipulated by various villains. She underwent transformations, both physical and mental.[13] She later met another sentient AI known as Machine Man, who became her on-and-off lover.[14] She also became involved with various super hero teams such as the New Mexico Initiative team the Mavericks,[6] the Mighty Avengers[15] and the Avengers Academy, as a teacher.[16] Jocasta's most recent activities saw employed by Tony Stark as Stark Unlimited's chief robot ethicist.[1] During the robot revolution, Jocasta was turned against her own kind by Tony's brother Arno,[17] until she was liberated by Machine Man and joined the final battle against the older Stark brother's attempts to subjugate both humans and robots alike.[18]
