Jimi Multhazam is an Indonesian Musician, Music Producer, Songwriter, And Artist.
He is known as a Lead Singer of Indonesian Nu Wave Band, The Upstairs and Garage Rock Band, Morphem.
Jimi's musical Career began when he joined a hardcore punk band formed by friends at the Jakarta Arts Institute called Bequiet in 1997. He is known for its musical nuances that combine elements of hardcore punk with old-school hip hop vocal styles. Bequiet has released four albums throughout his career.
Several years after playing with Bequiet, Jimi formed The Upstairs in 2001, with The Upstairs achieving success in the national music scene both on the margins and the mainstream, the success of his two albums, namely Matraman (2004) and Energy (2006).
As a solution to boredom when doing music with The Upstairs, Jimi initiated the booking of the Morfem music group in 2009. In contrast to the music image of The Upstairs which plays new wave music, Morfem plays alternative rock music combined with punk rock and power pop music.
After wanting to play in a crossover thrash band for a long time, in 2018 Jimi realized his solo project called Jimi Jazz. Jimi Jazz plays crossover thrash music with songs themed around Jimi's childhood memories
