Jiang Yanli/Jiāng Yànlí (The Untamed/MDZS)

Female character from the xianxia live-action web series "The Untamed" (2019) and from the animated series and danmei novel Mo Dao Zu Shi (MDZS)/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. She's played by actress and ballerina dancer Xuan Lu (also known as Lulu Xuan). Jiang Yanli (江厌离) is Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan's first child, the natural-born older sister of Jiang Cheng (Wang Zhou Cheng) and the older sister of her adopted brother, Wei Wuxian (Xiao Zhan), and later on; Jin Zixuan's wife and Jin Ling's mother. She is a kind and caring person, without any strong cultivation abilities. To an initial observer, Jiang Yanli's personality was mild, with nothing too notable. She enjoyed cooking for others, especially her brothers, and was implied to prefer cooking over cultivation. Underneath her gentle and polite exterior, however, Jiang Yanli was fiercely protective of her family. She refused to tolerate any insults towards her sworn brother Wei Wuxian, and she alone possessed the ability to reason with Wei Wuxian in the depths of his grief-stricken madness. Ultimately, she did not hesitate to sacrifice her life for her brother's. However, this sacrifice had an unintended consequence: leaving her then one-month-old son an orphan.
