Jake Lockett

Jake Ryan Lockett is an American actor, musician, martial artist, dancer, pilot and director from McLennan County, Texas, USA. As of 2025, he stars as mischievous yet honorable firefighter Sam Carver on NBC's hit prime-time drama "Chicago Fire". Jake's first union booking was a comedic role in an episode of "Two Broke Girls." Since then he has been working steadily in TV and film with large guest starring roles in Masters of Sex, NCIS: LA , Hawaii Five-O, Seal Team and many more. He was a strong support in the SXSW 2016 Audience Award Winner, "Transpecos" distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films, and lead antagonist in "Blood on Wheels" produced by and starring James Franco. Most recently, outside of his weekly appearances on Chicago Fire, Jake guest stars on the comedy series "Maggie" on Hulu and "The Big Leap" on FOX. Jake had his directorial debut in award-winning short film "A Rush of Peace", starring M Hayward Scott - winning Best First Time Director and Best Crime Film, along with 3 other Independent Shorts Awards, as well as a Rome Shorts award for Best Male Director. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, stays busy as a martial artist (Sayoc Fighting System, MMA, boxing), and as a musician, singing and playing guitar. He's also a trained pilot of Cessna 152 and VFR 172-class aircraft. In martial arts he's particularly trained in the Sayoc Fighting System and boxing, and in dancing he's trained in Two-step, half-step, Waltz, Jitterbug, Swing and Hip-Hop dance.
