Hyun Jin-heon, portrayed by Hyun Bin in “My Lovely Sam Soon” (also known as “My Name is Kim Sam-soon”), is the charismatic owner of the upscale French restaurant Bon Appetit. He is the son of a wealthy hotelier and is often pressured by his mother to take over the family business and settle down.
Jin-heon is initially portrayed as cold and aloof, but he has a deeply caring side, especially towards his niece, Mi-joo, who has been traumatized by her parents’ deaths. His relationship with Kim Sam-soon starts off antagonistically, as he hires her as his pastry chef after witnessing her public humiliation on Christmas Eve.
