Hu Sheng (1902–1998) is a Master Assassin and Mentor of the Chinese Brotherhood in Beijing during the Mao era. Sheng was born in Shanghai under the International enclaves of American and British settlements in 1902 during the late Qing dynasty under Guangxu Emperor as either part of the Assassin or Templar affiliate, after the Chinese Revolution of 1911, Sheng moved to Peking and joined the Assassins in late 1917 after he convinced Vladimir Lenin about the Revolution in China that would inspire by the October Revolution like the Assassin Nikolai Orelov who retrieved the Precursor box from the Romanov family. In 1937, as the Japanese invaded and captured Sheng's native birthplace. The Second Sino-Japanese War had begun as the Chinese Civil War went on from 1927 until 1949 when the United States had supported Kuomintang as part of Chinese Nationalists and the Templar Order led by the newly established Abstergo Industries which was founded by Henry Ford and Ransom E. Olds who aided Chiang Kai-shek against the Soviet Union who had supported the Chinese Communist Party as part of Chinese Communists and the Assassins Brotherhood. On 1 October 1949, Mao Zedong had proclaimed and established the People's Republic of China in Beijing's Tiananmen Square. Soon after the establishment, Sheng had met Chairman Mao who was also an ally of the Assassins but maintained a long and complicated friendship for several occassions. Sheng has lived the rest of his life in Beijing as an Assassin at his headquarters during the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution as Liu Shaoqi betrayed the Brotherhood and accused him of being an ally of the Templars and had him arrested with ashes and scattered off the coast of the city of Qingdao in accordance to wishes he made prior to his death. Sheng was promoted to the position as Mentor, realizing he became a good leader for the Order in 1966. In 1972, Abstergo has sent President Nixon to China by normalizing the relations between the two countries after decades of estrangement between the Assassins and Templars who were at war for centuries. Sheng had an invitation from the Vietnamese Assassin Tuân Nam Điểu from Saigon and asked Sheng to train him because of the American-led Templar affiliated South Vietnam and Bloodstone Unit before the Spring Offensive began in 1975 with the backing of Viet Cong before Tuân returned to his birthplace of the newly formed Vietnam as his native birthplace in Saigon as Ho Chi Minh City. In 1997, Sheng went to Hong Kong for the preparation of the handover from British rule back to Chinese control. Sheng died in his hometown in Shanghai of an old age in 1998 at 96 years old. His long life as an Assassin had achieved China's freedom.
