"Dr." Howard S. Schneider is an American former pediatric dentist located in Jacksonville, Florida, who mostly did dental work for patients on Medicaid, especially children.
He became infamous due to his extremely painful and unnecessary procedures he preformed on children, as well as being psychically abusive in general. He made national headlines for this. Most patient's parents were so shocked that they protested, and one mother even confronted and tried choking Mr. Schneider in person.
It was revealed that he was dramatically cheating the Medicaid system through all these things. (ex: Making fake fillings, putting unnecessary crowns in, not bothering with the anesthesia, removing them, etc.)
Schneider was finally arrested in 2015 for Medicaid Fraud after being investigated several times by the United States Department of Justice, but he was deemed "too incompetent" to appear in court, and as a result the charges were dropped.
