Hobbs is a chef who may arrive as a random door encounter while Sam is at home. He has run out of ingredients and is asking for supplies. In exchange for raw food items, he will give Sam cooking tips, increasing his cooking skill (which makes cooked meals more effective). He has a chance of appearing in a hostile form, rapidly changing into a maggotlike monster and attacking if the door is opened.
