Heron (Blood Of Zeus)

Heron is the main protagonist character in Blood of Zeus. He is the illegitimate son of Zeus, born from a woman named Electra and is the maternal half-brother of Seraphim. Living alone with his mother on the mountainside near a polis, he was forsaken by them due to being a bastard and due to the belief that he and his mother are omens of misfortune due to a permanent cloud cover that came with them, which was created by Zeus to hide his lover and their son from the wrath of Hera. Ultimately, due to the actions of Hera and the death of his mother by the hands of Seraphim set Heron on a journey to kill the Demons with guidance from his father and to stop a war that threatens Olympus. Despite slaying his brother and returning the souls of the Giants to the cauldron, Heron learns from the Fates that his thread was cut by an unseen assailant and is doomed to die, which ultimately proves true after being regrettably stabbed and killed by his uncle, Hades in a desperate attempt to obtain the Eleusinian Stone. Heron brings himself life duo to his Demigod status and wakes up only to find the world in chaos and Gaia unleashing Typhon upon the gods as an act of retribution. Later decides to help his brother to save his lost love Gorgo from the Underworld. Then he and Seraphim reluctantly form an alliance with Hera and the Gods to fight against Kronos and the Titans. After confessing his love for Alexia he sacrifices his life to destroy Typhon. After his death, he reunites with his mother Electra in the Elysian fields.
