Biography

Heat is a playable character from the Bust A Groove series and is the poster boy of the franchise. Heat was originally a racer who competed in Formula 1, but hasn't returned after being nearly incinerated in a terrible accident. He made a total recovery, and as a result of the accident, gained the ability to manipulate fire. Although he recovered from the accident, he was traumatized and did not return to racing, and instead became a break dancer. During his epilogue, Heat defeats Robo-Z, who is ultimately destroyed. The Groovetron shoots out from Robo-Z's body into the sky, then back down directly onto Heat. He falls down to one knee, then turns his head to face the camera with a smirk and a gleam in his eye. Heat's story is retold by James Suneoka, the host of Dancing Heroes, during his epilogue in Bust A Move 2. Heat is seen competing in the Grand Prix in Monaco, where he's overtaking the other racers by 33 laps. As Heat is about to clear the finish line, his car spins out of control and crashes into the wall, where it bursts into flames. Heat is taken to the hospital immediately, barely alive, and suffering from third degree burns all over his body. While treating him, the doctors give up hope on Heat making a recovery. However, one week later, Heat miraculously recovers from his injuries, and discovers he has the power to control fire. Suneoka nicknames Heat "Fire Boy", and mentions he has an average body temperature of 45 degrees Celsius.
