Grimserver was originally a Wildthorn. He wasn't satisfied with how Dragamar's strength was growing through battling for fun, and instead wanted to battle for power. He plotted to take over the five sacred sanctuaries of Dragamar, and so he stole all the Dragamon eggs to create an army of Dragamonz which were loyal to him alone. Unfortunately for him, Syrrus and the other founders of Dragamar captured him and took him to the Five Corners so that Dracacia could punish him
