Green Arrow (real name Oliver Queen; born December 9, 1978) is a superhero archer from Star City, a member of the Justice League, and a recurring character in Chargeshock Thompson & the Justice Avengers. He is known for mentoring young heroes such as Artemis and Red Arrow, and serves as a skilled tactician and experienced ally to the Justice Avengers. Physical appearance Green Arrow has blond hair, blue eyes, and a blond mustache and beard. His costume consists primarily of green tones, reflecting his codename. He wears a dark green hooded shirt beneath a sleeveless light green tactical vest fastened with three oval-shaped clasps, along with black pants and green boots. He carries a quiver filled with arrows on his back, secured by a black strap across his chest. His outfit is completed with long green gloves, a black domino mask, and a utility belt. Personality Green Arrow is sarcastic, witty, and slightly cocky, making him one of the more lighthearted members of the Justice League. Unlike many of his teammates, he does not always take himself too seriously, often approaching missions with a sense of humor. Always as quick with a quip as he is with his bow, he tends to find enjoyment even in the heat of battle. However, this attitude can sometimes put him at odds with more serious heroes, particularly Batman. He is also shown to be a natural leader, though he prefers working alone. Despite viewing himself as more of a solo player, Green Arrow is deeply protective and loyal toward those he cares about. As a mentor, he differs from more traditional figures such as Batman and Aquaman, adopting a less strict and more relaxed approach. While there is still a degree of formality, he often treats his relationship with his sidekicks in a more playful and informal manner. In particular, he comes to see Jake not merely as a partner, but as a younger brother figure. History Early Life Oliver Queen was born into wealth in Star City, growing up as the son of a powerful and influential family. In his younger years, he lived a reckless and carefree lifestyle, more focused on thrill and status than responsibility. Everything changed when he was stranded on a remote island after a catastrophic accident at sea. Green Arrow initiated his crime-fighting career in 2001. He joined the Justice League in May, 2004. Arrow had a history with the assassin archer Merlyn; the pair had duelled 16 times, with Merlyn the victor each time. Green Arrow was the second Justice League member to take on a protégé, after Batman. He started working with Speedy in 2007, but soon after, the Light kidnapped him and cloned him. Green Arrow searched for three months and was elated when he found his partner, but he did not know the Light had cloned Speedy, and fed him false information to lead him to the clone rather than the real Roy Harper. Ollie was wealthy. He set up a trust fund for Roy. He later lost his fortune, due to inattention. He went on to make a decent living and retained some property from his wealthier days, but was far from rich. He ultimately felt happier without his fortune. He continued working with Speedy, and considered him more of partner than a sidekick, and revealed to him that the Hall of Justice was only a front for tourists, when in fact the real headquarters of the Justice League was an orbiting satellite called the Watchtower. Abilities Marksmanship: Green Arrow is a highly skilled marksman and trained martial artist, capable of using a wide variety of projectile weapons with exceptional accuracy. His primary weapon of choice is the bow, which he wields with remarkable precision. Hand-to-Hand Combat: Green Arrow is a highly capable hand-to-hand combatant, trained in multiple martial arts disciplines. He can hold his own against both skilled fighters and enhanced opponents, even without his bow. Tactical Intelligence: Green Arrow utilizes a wide range of specialized arrows, including explosive, grappling, EMP, and stun arrows. These give him versatility in combat and allow him to handle threats beyond normal archery. Peak Human Conditioning: Through intense training, Green Arrow is in peak physical condition, possessing enhanced strength, agility, reflexes, and endurance comparable to elite athletes. Stealth and Infiltration: He is highly skilled in stealth, capable of moving undetected and infiltrating secure locations, making him effective in reconnaissance and covert missions.
