Grandmother Willow is a fictional character from Disney's 1995 animated feature film, Pocahontas. She is an ancient and wise sentient weeping willow tree that is over 200 years old who serves as an adviser and confidant to Pocahontas. Grandmother Willow has served mostly as a spiritual adviser with the Powhatan tribe and has done so with Pocahontas's late mother years before her death. When Pocahontas comes to visit her and confides in Grandmother Willow about her doubts when her father has arranged a marriage between her and Kocoum along with having a peculiar dream involving a spinning arrow, she advises Pocahontas that the spinning arrow might be pointing her down her path, which makes Pocahontas wonder what it is, and Grandmother Willow advises her to listen and allow the spirits of the earth to guide her.
