Grandma Longneck is a fictional character from The Land Before Time franchise first introduced in the first film and plays a major role throughout the series.
She is Littlefoot's maternal grandmother, Grandpa Longneck's mate, the mother of Littlefoot's mother, and mother-in-law to Bron. Both Grandma Longneck and her mate are Littlefoot's main caregivers ever since the death of their daughter, serving as parents to their grandson.
Other than giving Littlefoot advice when needed and protecting him, both Grandma and Grandpa Longneck have shared leadership in the Great Valley by keeping peace between other dinosaurs that inhabit the valley by welcoming visitors and newcomers, passing judgement on criminals, deciding courses of action for all of the herds, and providing for common defenses when danger is near.
