Biography
Fabrício Boliveira, stage name of Genisson Fabrício Boliveira Pereira (Salvador, April 26, 1982), is a Brazilian actor. From a middle-class family, Fabrício grew up in the neighborhood of Vila Laura, in Salvador, alongside his mother, father and two brothers.
Since he was a child, Fabrício Boliveira attended theaters and his mother had done theater as well.
Fabricio is a childhood friend of a professor of literature known in the Bahian cycle called Rafael Mendes, who in turn wrote plays performed by his actor friend.
As a teenager, Fabrício Boliveira took a theater course at Solar Boa Vista, for 2 years, in Salvador. Still studying, he participated in a film festival, where he acted and helped to script and direct.
Fabrício Boliveira's first professional artistic work was in the Bahian play "Capitães da Areia", produced by Cia. Baiana de Patifaria, directed by Lelo Filho and Fernanda Paquelet in 2002, when he was still a student at Ufba. In the theatrical adaptation of the novel by Jorge Amado, the actor played João Grande, the second in the hierarchy of the street gang led by Pedro Bala.
Seen by about 40 thousand people, in two seasons in Salvador and trips to the countryside and other states, the show offered fertile ground for the beginning of Fabrício Boliveira.
In addition to "Capitães da Areia", Fabrício Boliveira was in the cast of the plays "A Invasão" (2004); "The Farce of Good Sloth" (2004).; "Cinderella Black Power" and "Antonio, Meu Santo".
In cinema, in addition to some short films, Fabrício participated in the feature film "A Máquina", by João Falcão.
Fabrício Boliveira's debut on television was in 2006, with the slave Bastião, by Sinhá Moça (2006), which drew attention for the dissimulation tone of the character and the resourcefulness of the novice in the video. For his role, he won the Contigo Award for revelation actor in 2007. The actor, who had just finished his acting course at the Ufba Theater School, had registered with the station's actor bank. Then, he participated in an episode of the series "Cidade dos Homens" and played Saci in "Sítio do Picapau Amarelo".
Before, in 2004, he had acted in "O Bêbado em Cama Alheia", from the Bahia Teledramaturgy Pole.
The actor's passion for television came from advertising. Well before becoming a professional actor, Fabrício Boliveira could be seen in Bahia doing various advertising campaigns, whether for products, events, politicians and governments.
Between 2003 and 2005 he was the presenter of the program "Tô Chegando".
In 2008, the actor participated in the soap opera "A Favorita", by Rede Globo.
At the end of 2009, she acted in the play "Quebramar", by Tarcísio Lara Puiati, with Letícia Cannavale and Brisa Caleri, directed by Renato Farias.
Fabricio Boliveira is in the cast of the movie "400 Contra 1" which premiered in August 2010.
Recently, Fabrício was also confirmed as the actor who gave life to João de Santo Cristo, in the film Faroeste Caboclo, based on the music by Renato Russo.
