Elixir (Josh Foley)

Josh Foley aka Elixir is a Mutant who has the power of biological manipulation and healing. He joined the Reavers, an anti-mutant group led by Donald Pierce, at the behest of his then-best friend, Duncan. When Cerebra detected a mutant in the area the X-Men were sent to investigate. The Reavers attacked a group of students from Xavier's Institute, and Josh discovered he was a Mutant by healing one of his fellow Reavers. The truth was revealed when he was compelled to heal the mortally-injured Laurie Collins. When the Reavers discovered Josh was a mutant they rejected him and retreated. Angry and disowned by his parents, Josh reluctantly went to the Xavier Institute.[5] Initially, Josh became friends with many students however, after discovering his history with the Reavers, they rejected him too, and the New Mutants intervened to save him.[6] Elixir became renowned as the in-house healer, and he was eventually put on the New Mutants Squad.[7] He later discovered his secondary mutation that turned his skin golden. His experiences led him to join the New Mutants Squad.[8] On M-Day, Elixir was one of the few mutants to retain their powers. He played a crucial role in healing the depowered students, but tragedy struck when a bus carrying depowered students was bombed, leading to the death of many former students.[9] Shortly before the events in Limbo, Elixir enhanced his healing abilities due to the psychic data transfer by the Stepford Cuckoos using the knowledge of Beast.[10] Elixir joined the Utopians,[11] becoming a member of the Hellfire Club,[1] and participating in events like the establishment of the Mutant nation of Krakoa.[12] Elixir became a vital member of The Five, contributing to the Resurrection Protocols for deceased mutants. He played a crucial role in restoring the lives and memories of fallen mutants.[13]
