El Toro (real name: Raúl Bruel) is Firestrike's long-term rival and a secondary antagonist in The Chargeshock Thompson & The Justice Avengers series.
Physical Appearance
Raúl Bruel is a massive man of Spanish ethnicity, with an imposing physique, much taller and bulkier than Dennis. He has short, black hair and a few days' beard that accentuates his rough features and confident smirk.
He wears a massive bio-mechanical exoskeleton, dark gray with red metallic reflections, originally designed in the basements of Osborn Unlimited and later modified by himself. The armor includes a full-face helmet with two massive stylized bull horns, reinforced with titanium, and heavy armor plates on the shoulders and chest to absorb the impact of high-speed collisions.
Personality
El Toro is obsessed with money, theft and, above all, the code of masculinity and brute force. He has an absolute blind faith in his muscles and categorically refuses to use firearms or dirty tricks. He believes that a real conflict is resolved one on one, face to face. He has a sharp tongue, often speaks in Spanish during battles and loves to tease his opponents to test their mental toughness. He secretly respects Jake for his agility, but his true obsession is Dennis (Firestrike), whom he considers his only equal in New York in terms of strength and competitive spirit.
Powers and Abilities
Superhuman Impact Strength: Thanks to his exoskeleton and his own constitution, El Toro can destroy brick walls and concrete pillars with a single blow. His physical impact sent Jake through walls in the past.
Bull Rush: Able to lock onto a target and reach incredible speeds in a straight line, becoming a human battering ram that is unstoppable by standard physical means.
Extreme Durability: His armor plating is bulletproof and resists Dennis' basic pyrokinetic attacks, forcing heroes to look for weaknesses in their environment.
Brawler/Wrestling Fighting Style: Uses heavy grappling techniques, tackles, and ground strikes that generate ground shockwaves.
Weaknesses
Linear Mobility: Once he enters the Bull Rush phase, he cannot change direction quickly, making him vulnerable to high-agility feints (Witch Time).
Overheating Joints: Despite the heavy armor, the armor's hydraulic joints can be affected by extreme temperatures (such as molten gold or Luke's organic ice).
Pride Complex: Refuses to withdraw from a fight if he feels his manhood or reputation as the strongest man is being questioned.
Trivia
El Toro refuses to work as a slave for Dr. Tarantula or Electro Monster, saying that "a real toro doesn't wear an electronic collar."
His favorite meal after a successful break-in is spicy paella, which he always eats in his Brooklyn hideouts.
Despite his status as a thief, he was once seen donating a bag of stolen money to an animal shelter, saying that "tough guys take care of street perros," a detail that made Max partially become his fan.
