Djinn (Wishmaster)

The Djinn, also called "the Wishmaster" is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the Wishmaster horror film series. He is an ancient evil genie whose sole purpose is to grant 3 wishes to the one who woke him and free his fellow Djinn to be released upon the Earth. The Djinn is a sadistic, manipulative, and prideful being who will stop at nothing in order to free his fellow Djinn so that they can rule over the world and use their seemingly infinite power however they choose. He also has no problem admitting that he is evil and seems to be rather proud of it. When in disguise as a human, the Djinn often acts somewhat friendly and/or polite in an attempt to trick others into making wishes so he can collect their souls. The Djinn's main goal is to fulfill three wishes for his "waker" all the while finding him/her, he also has the ability to grant an extensive array of single wishes to individuals who did not release him and tends to exhibit a sadistic nature when granting these wishes, often transforming them into dreadful penalties or distorted and frightening illusions.
