A new incarnation (consisting of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist) of the Defenders based on the lineup in the Netflix (now Disney+) series The Defenders. The four came together after Diamondback (who came back to life and wanted to replace Wilson Fisk as the new Kingpin) had targeted them all. He also recruited the Fixer, Moonstone, and Titania against the Defenders. Rivaling Diamondback were Black Cat and Hammerhead. The Hood also attempted to become the next Kingpin.The team also notably allied with Deadpool, the Daughters of the Dragon, White Tiger (Ava Ayala), Echo, and Spider-Woman, while also coming into conflict with the Punisher.
