Actor. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was best known for his role as 'Tom' on the Canadian television series, "Degrassi: The Next Generation" from 2001 to 2005. The show which was a spin-off from another television series, "Degrassi Junior High" (which aired from 1986 to 1991), told the story of high school students and there everyday lives. Armstrong also played 'Tweaked Tommy' in "Queer As Folk" in 2002. He died as the result of a suicide at the age of 23 in Toronto, Ontario.
