Born on June 10th, 2007 in Tijuana, Mexico, Dani Lynch got her big break by being cast as Lyanna Mormont in the hit HBO Series “Game of Thrones” at only age 8. She moved to Dublin, Ireland for the role where she also began training in Dance and All-Star cheerleading. In Dublin she lived with her grandparents and aunt:WWE wrestler Becky Lynch. She stayed on the Game of Thrones cast until the final season in 2021. Many were impressed by her professionalism and talent at such a young age, which lead her to be the youngest person to be nominated for an Emmy at age 9 for her role as Lyanna, and later again nominated at age 13. She’s also known for her roles in “Jurassic World:Fallen Kingdom”, “The Christmas Chronicles 2” and “Jurassic World:Dominion”
At 10 years old she moved to Wilmington, North Carolina with her grandparents and twin brother, where she began training at Evolution Dance Complex, and was cast with her grandmother Cindy Lynch, on the reality/docu-series “The 8 Count”, which followed an elite team of young dancers as they compete on the competitive dance circuit. She quickly became a fan favorite of the show for her witty personality and dance talent. The show gained loads of popularity around the world, with 5 ongoing seasons and three spin-offs including “The 8 Count:European Style”, “The 8 Count Down Under” and “Dani & Savy take Cali!”. The show won various accolades including four Kids Choice Awards and three MTV Awards.
It’s around this time that Lynch began gaining a following on socials such as TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and Instagram, with a combined following of over 50 million, she became known for her one-liners and “tell it like it is” personality. This got her recognition on magazines such as TeenVouge, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan, as well as winning Kid’s Choice Award for Favorite Dancer in 2022 and Favorite Female Creator in 2023. At age 14 she launched a boot collection with LaDuca’s, which sold out online in 1.5 hours. Lynch also became a decorated champion in competitive dance, winning The Dance Awards Teen Best Dancer 2023 as well as various team titles.
Lynch was cast iin 2021 as Cerise Hood in Netflix’s Fantasy/Teen series “Once Upon A Time”. The show won various accolades at The Emmy and Oscar awards in 2022, and broke a record for staying in Netflix’s top 10 most popular list for 5 months, as well as holding the number 1 spot for three weeks straight, after it’s Season 2 release. Dani was nominated for an Emmy alongside her costar McKenna Grace for Best Supporting Actress in 2023 for her performance in Season 2.
In 2022 she was cast alongside her family in Hulu’s “Totally Us”, which was a reality show following the well-known Lynch and Caldwallader wrestling families, especially focusing on the female pro-wrestling talent in WWE. The show went on to see an ongoing 2 seasons, and an MTV Award for Best Reality Show in 2023.
Dani now resides in Santa Monica, where she trains with her team at EDC LA, and lives with her grandmother, brother and pets. She just recently announced her new podcast “Talking Back”, set to release in the coming year, and is also is set to play Coraline in the new live action in March of 2024.
