Dan Carter (born March 5, 1982) is a retired New Zealand rugby union player widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time. As a fly-half for the All Blacks, he is the highest point scorer in international rugby history and was a key player in the team's Rugby World Cup victories in 2011 and 2015. He was named World Rugby Player of the Year three times (2005, 2012, and 2015).
