Coralie FargeatΒ (French:Β [kΙΚaliΒ faΚΚa]; born 24 November 1976) is a French filmmaker. She gained recognition with her debut feature film,Β RevengeΒ (2017), for which she received awards from several independent film festivals. Her follow-up feature,Β The SubstanceΒ (2024), a satiricalΒ body horrorΒ film, earned her theΒ Cannes Film Festival Award for Best ScreenplayΒ as well as threeΒ Academy AwardΒ nominations forΒ Best Picture,Β Best Director, andΒ Best Original Screenplay.
