Conservator

The Conservator was dissastisfied with the world's treatment of nature. He pooled his resources and transformed Castillo Island into a private sanctuary for many of the world's species. He collected these species by transporting them to his island, where he built a home for himself. His activities attracted the attention of Wolverine, Namor, Ka-Zar and Shanna the She-Devil, along with Zabu. Seperately following leads of their own, they united at Castillo Island and encounted the Conservator. He explained his motives to the newcomers, and he attempted to trap them on the island, but Devil Dinosaur prevented the plot from furthering. As he was knocked down, Shanna explained that his actions were wrong and convinced him to take an active stand in the world in defense of conservation. With Ka-Zar and Shanna by his side, he dedicated Castillo Island as a nature preserve resort where humans and animals could interact with one another, as the world was intended to be.[1]
