Commander Melanoff is the overarching protagonist of the 2020 Netflix computer-animated film The Willoughbys, based on the children's book of the same name by Lois Lowry. He is the joyous, but lonely owner of a candy factory who adopts Ruth after the Willoughby children leave her at his doorstep. He later became the Willoughby's adopted father.
