Biography

Claire Stansfield is a British actress born in London, an English father and a German mother. Very young, her parents take her to Canada, in Toronto more precisely, where she will spend all her childhood. Although British she considers herself more Canadian than English. It is by modeling that she enters the show business. But she quickly gets tired of this profession which confines her to very specific roles because of her large size (1m80 to 16 years old). She turns to comedy in the mid-1980s, approached by Simon LeBon as tabloids describe as her future husband. He will prefer the model Yasmin Parvaneh with whom he will marry in 1985. From episodes of series in small roles in the cinema, she manages to hit the role of Alti in the series"Xena, the warrior", in 1998. C is what will make it known to the general public. Three years later, she ends her career after thirty roles and the realization of a short film adapted from a short story by Dorothy Parker, and part to create a line of clothes with her friend actress Cheyann Benedict, C & C (for Claire & Cheyann) in 2002. The line adopts a style 70 years of the most beautiful effect. C & C is bought by Liz Claiborne in 2005. She is fluent in German and often spends her vacations near Cologne where her grandmother lived.
