Christopher "Chris" Renshaw is a music composer who took over as the composer of the series after the departure of Robert and Peter Hartshorne. He began composing for the series starting with Thomas & Friends in 4-D: Bubbling Boilers. He also has composed the music for The Great Race, Journey Beyond Sodor, Big World! Big Adventures! and the twentieth to the twenty-fourth series. He was also the owner and founder of Taptap Sound. He has also composed several online series, including Really Useful Around the World, Thomas' Magical Birthday Wishes, and the Thomas & Friends Storytime podcast series. From 2019 onwards, he started composing sing-along songs for the show and online content, mostly in collabriation with producer Ian McCue. Prior to becoming the composer of the series, he worked as a Recording Engineer for Tale of the Brave, The Adventure Begins, Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure and The Great Race. He left the series at the conclusion of the twenty-fourth series, though he still continues
