Celeste Loots was born on September 5, 1996. She is a South African actress who achieved international fame for her role as the orphaned heiress Kaya in the 2023 Netflix live-action adaptation of One Piece. Loots grew up in Paarl and initially began studying law at the University of Cape Town before switching her focus to graduate with a degree in Theatre and Performance in 2019. Her professional screen career started with the television films Home Affairs: A Christmas Tale (2020) and its sequel, and she has since become a prominent figure in South African television with lead roles in series such as the teen drama Trompoppie and the university drama Wyfie.
