Biography

Sebastian was born on June 30, 1989, in Mbombela, the son of South African novelist and playwright Engemi Ferreira (1943–2019) and her husband, Johann Jordaan. He studied creative writing at Emerson College in the United Kingdom and the SA Writers College in South Africa. In 2019, he graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Master's degree in creative writing. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in visual communication. In 2015, he was nominated for the Writer's Guild of South Africa's Muse Award for Best Screenplay for a Web Series. He has been acting since 2015, primarily appearing in short films. His first role was in the 2015 television series Suidooster. He played a supporting role in the German film production Robin – Watch for Wishes. In 2020, he played one of the leading roles as the space paladin Denz in Battle Star Wars – Die Sternenkrieger.
