He is a billionaire, playboy and philanthropist who is secretly a masked vigilante protecting the streets of Gotham City from crime. Having lost his parents due to crime, Bruce dedicated his life to stopping criminals in Gotham City, and was assisted by his close friend and butler, Alfred Pennyworth. By 2015, Bruce became world weary as his time as a vigilante, and later of Superman due to the massive destruction from the Sword of Rao. Though Batman attempted to kill Superman, he was stopped and came to the realization that they were being manipulated by Lex Luthor Batman teamed up with Superman and the Amazon warrior Wonder Woman to stop Doomsday, a creature created by Luthor with the use of the genesis chamber. Though the creature was defeated, it costed Superman's life, and Batman decided to devout his time to creating a league to stop the upcoming threat of the New Gods. With the Justice League and a resurrected Superman, Batman succeeded in stopping Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons
