Assassin's Creed: The Fall is a 2010-2011 comic book by Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl split into three separate issues, initially published by WildStorm Comics and later by Ubiworkshop.
The comic book, consisting of three issues, followed the journey of the Russian Assassin Nikolai Orelov during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, whose genetic memories were viewed by his present-day descendant Daniel Cross.
The memories of Nikolai Orelov depicted his search for a Staff of Eden in the form of the House of Romanov's Imperial Sceptre, particularly including him causing the Borki train disaster in an attempt to kill Tsar Alexander III, the Tunguska explosion caused by Nikola Tesla which destroyed the Staff, and the Russian Revolution, in which he ignored his friend Vladimir Lenin's request to assassinate Tsar Nicholas II, who informed him that Grigori Rasputin carried a splinter of the Staff.
