At the age of 8, Amina began performing in a local theater with The Finest! in Rockville, MD. She soon expanded her horizons - traveling to various cities for theater and eventually working her way into film. Amina has performed in the DC Black Theater Festival, as well as on stages in Auburn and Tampa with A Change Gon' Come; an original work by Kashi Tara about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. At the Kensington Arts Barn in MD, Amina enjoyed playing the role of Pepper in Annie Jr. , showing her comedic tendencies and her knack for accents while playing both the Gander and the Southern Girl/Spectator in Charlottes' Web, and playing Veruca Salt in her high school's production of Willy Wonka. Amina starred in her first short film Brute (2013), as an abused girl held captive in a basement who is happened upon by two run-of-the-mill thieves. She landed her first series regular role as Rachel Brandt in Nickelodeon's I Am Frankie. Outside of performing Amina loves doing puzzles, drawing and painting, reading, and playing soccer.
