Description of Detective Story:

After receiving a frantic phone call from his ex-girlfriend, teenage loner James Gordon learns that her dead body has been found. Vowing to solve her murder himself, he must infiltrate high-school cliques that he previously avoided. His search for the truth places him before some of the school's roughest characters, leading to a confrontation with a drug dealer known as "the Masked Ripper."

lorog Resolution: The next day, James meets Barbara at the school. She reveals that Zsasz died after a shootout with the police. James explains that he knows Barbara set Sarah Essen up to take the fall for Barbara's theft of the ninth brick, then manipulated Sarah into meeting Zsasz, who panicked and killed her after she told him he was the father of her unborn child. James has written a note to the school administration stating that the tenth brick is in Barbara's locker. Barbara vindictively tells Jim that Sarah did not want to keep the baby because she did not love the father, and that Sarah was three months pregnant when she died, meaning the unborn child was his.
