Synopsis

Stormlight is a form of gaseous Investiture brought by the Highstorms of Roshar. It can be used to fuel the Surgebinding abilities: various superpowers such as the ability to fly, enhance growth, or create lifelike illusions. The story will eventually contain 10 volumes, ergo: 10 season of the show.

  • beltari The Alethi people are generally tan -- darker-skinned than the Veden and Shin, but not as dark as the Makabaki -- with dark, typically black hair. They are typically extremely tall, standing on average at least a foot taller than people living further West. Like most Rosharan people, they possess Epicanthic folds and see those without such folds as wide-eyed and childish. They are a racially-mixed people due to their history of conquest.

    • kevindobias @beltari They're described that way because Sanderson can't just say they look Mongolian - all the people's in Roshar (except the Shin) are supposed to look Asian. The darker Makabaki would be more like the darker skinned Pacific Islander Asians, Alethkar was based on Mongolia, so they would look Mongolian.
